With budget deficits soaring and President Obama pushing a trillion-dollar-plus expansion of health coverage, some Washington policymakers are taking a fresh look at a money-making idea long considered politically taboo: a national sales tax. Used in Europe This tax will complete our transformation and we may call ourselves France. Many in the media will love the idea of a new tax since they think it would save us from a fiscal calamity. The truth is the government will continue to overspend revenue and run things inefficiently. This tax will also burden those making less than $200,000 a year breaking Obama's pledge not to raise their taxes. We need to wake up and demand cost cutting instead of tax raising.
